Materials matter, from source to silhouette.

The fabrics we choose shape not only how a garment looks and feels, but also the impact it leaves behind. As part of our circular luxury philosophy, we continuously work toward incorporating more responsible, recycled, and consciously sourced materials wherever possible.

Our approach is centered around creating pieces that feel elevated, timeless, and designed to last, moving away from disposable fashion and toward more intentional wardrobes.

Reclaimed fabric and plastic prepared for material transformation
Certified standards

Materials with better accountability.

Our collections may include fabrics certified or aligned with OEKO-TEX Standard 100, GRS, OCS, LENZING ECOVERO, and TENCEL fibre standards.

Recycled fibres

Existing resources, refined finish.

Wherever possible, we incorporate recycled polyester, recycled nylon, recycled cotton blends, responsible viscose alternatives, and conscious synthetic blends selected for softness, drape, and longevity.

Lower excess

Small batches, less overproduction.

Limited production allows us to build around available materials, reduce excess inventory, and keep each edit focused on quality over quantity.

Recycled materials

Recycled does not have to feel raw.

For Dorna Milan, recycled material is a starting point, not the whole story. We select fibres and fabric blends for their handfeel, movement, opacity, strength, and ability to hold an elevated silhouette.

Recycled polyester and nylon can help redirect plastic and synthetic waste streams into new yarns. Recycled cotton and recovered textile blends can help reduce dependence on virgin resources. Responsible viscose alternatives and cellulosic fibres help us build softness and drape into pieces designed to be kept.

Material certifications

Standards that support better sourcing.

Certifications help make material claims easier to understand and verify. Across our supply chain and future collections, we work with standards that support recycled content, safer textiles, organic material verification, and responsibly sourced cellulosic fibres.

OEKO-TEX

Textile safety.

OEKO-TEX Standard 100 supports textiles tested for harmful substances and stricter human-ecological safety standards.

GRS

Recycled traceability.

The Global Recycled Standard supports recycled material traceability and responsible processing for fibres such as recycled polyester and nylon.

OCS

Organic content.

The Organic Content Standard helps verify organic material content in fabrics containing certified organic cotton fibres.

ECOVERO

Responsible viscose.

LENZING ECOVERO fibres are responsibly sourced cellulosic fibres derived from certified wood sources and lower-impact processes.

Lenzing

Cellulosic innovation.

Lenzing fibre families support responsibly sourced cellulose-based materials selected for softness, drape, and comfort.

From fibre to finish

Material choice shapes the silhouette.

Texture, stretch, weight, and finish decide how a garment falls on the body. We treat these limits as part of the design language, building pieces that feel intentional rather than forced into a trend.
